Railway Logistics For The Country’s System
The logistics services offered by the State Railway Group are run by FS Logistica. Integration, systematic vision, synergy, optimisation of resources, and quality of service are the key words that guide FS Logistica’s mission towards attaining three basic objectives:
Improving and developing the services offered.
Creating a logistics network to support rail transport, in partnership with national and international logistics operators.
Creating the conditions for competing with Europe-wide competitors.
FS Logistica’s act ivi ty focuses on logist ics integrated with depot and handling services, as well as managing orders from production establishments all the way through to organised large-scale consumer markets, and the design and construction of infrastructures.
The Company also runs personalised projects for managing the flow of industrial products and logistics solutions for managing the waste cycle in terms of safety and security. The Company’s logistics infrastructures cover the entire country.
FS Logistica works on the market via its Business Units. Its principal sectors of activity include petrochemical, environment and territory (Chemical industry and Environment BU), Iron & Steel (Siderurgico BU), large institutional clients (Omniaexpress BU) and distribution logistics for large-scale consumables through ItaliaLogistica, a new joint venture with Poste Italiane Group.
